Our chosen word that we are basing our idea around is "stress", We are going to show the stresses of a student trying to finish their work close to a deadline. during the piece the student becomes more and more frustrated and angry with his work. until eventually he snaps. we plan to show visual representations of what is happening inside the mind of the student. this will include an actual person talking to himself and a kettle boiling to show that he has reached "boiling point".
we are also drawing on inspirations from films such as 'fight club' and 'copy shop' and we are planning to show an 'alternative character' or 'alter ego' which is to represent what the character would rather be doing or who he would rather be, at that point.
Our other inspirations come from the following films:
'The Shining' - we are going to have a document that repeats a single word of phrase over and over again, this will show that (like in the shining) the character is loosing his mind.
'Eraser head' - some very long shots
we are wanting to edit the wanting to edit the pice so that the beginning starts slow and the cuts get faster and faster towards the end.
